We visited with the state secretary of education yesterday, who is in the midst of an election campaign that we have been told she will win.  The previous secretary that we have been working with will be retiring, so we will meet with the one replacing her when we come back to town next week.

We also met with Pocone's municipal secretary of education and the man responsible for transport in and around the city, and we are now officially partnered with the municipality as well.

In addition to talking and forming these new bonds with the municipality, we arranged a visit for all of the different local government people involved in the second week of June.  We also picked up several reading and writing books so that we can start by teaching one of the workers at the lodge how to read and write.  His class will start ASAP.

The school is nearing functionality, and when the secretaries finally come to see the finished product in mid-June it will be an exciting moment for everyone involved!
